Cheryl Wang
Cheryl Xiaoning Wang is a Los Angeles-based bilingual music supervisor working across film and television. She began her career in China in film accounting and distribution with DreamWorks and IMAX before relocating to the United States, and holds an MFA in Film Producing from Columbia University.
Dedicated to the synergy between music and visual storytelling, Cheryl’s work has screened at the world’s leading film festivals, including Cannes (Armageddon Time, Splitsville), Sundance (Shortcomings), Rotterdam (The Ballad of Suzanne Césaire), NYFF (Janet Planet), TIFF (Bruiser), SXSW (I Love Boosters, Bunny), and Tribeca (Rosemead, Ephemera). She is a member of BAFTA, the Guild of Music Supervisors, and the Recording Academy; a Women In Film Fellowship recipient; and the first music supervisor named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film.
