Eunike Tanzil
Eunike Tanzil is an Indonesian composer based in Los Angeles. She holds degrees from Berklee College of Music and The Juilliard School, both on full scholarships. Her music spans a variety of genres, including classical, jazz, and cinematic, with a distinctive style characterized by lyrical melodies and rich harmonic progressions that deeply resonate with listeners.
In recent years, Eunike has made a significant impact in the film industry, contributing to notable projects like The Addams Family 2, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, and Abominable and the Invisible City. Her latest achievements include scoring Asian Persuasion, an American romantic comedy that premiered at the SOHO International Film Festival in 2023, Be Somebody (a top grossing Chinese murder mystery), and Christmas in Chicago (slated for a 2025 release).
Guided by mentors such as John Debney, Pinar Toprak, and Stephanie Economou, Eunike's artistic voice has been shaped by some of the industry's most influential figures. Her versatility shines through in her collaborations with artists across diverse fields, including Ray Chen, TwoSet Violin, Arturo Sandoval, and Laufey. Her recent work with Laufey on Only Mine—part of a Bose and Porsche campaign—exemplifies her talents as a producer, arranger, and orchestrator.
Eunike’s orchestral compositions have garnered international acclaim. In 2023, she conducted the world premiere of her piece Celestial Waves with the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. That same year, her debut single, Scenes from a Voyage, was recorded by the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra at Warner Bros. Eastwood Scoring Stage and premiered by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in March 2024. She has also collaborated with renowned ensembles such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, and Jakarta Symphony Orchestra.
Beyond her work in the studio, Eunike has built a vibrant creative community on social media, where she shares her passion for film scoring and orchestral music through educational content and her popular Hum Me a Melody series, which transforms street-hummed tunes into symphonic arrangements. Through these platforms, she inspires the next generation of composers and introduces wider audiences to orchestral music.
Eunike is a Deutsche Grammophon artist and will be recording her debut album with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin in December 2024.
