Biography

Fatima Al Qadiri is a Kuwaiti composer andmulti-disciplinary artist based in London.

In 2019, Fatima scored the debut feature film by Mati Diop, Atlantics. The film won the Grand Prix at Cannes Film Festival while Fatima received a César nomination for Best Original Score. She followed this with her second score, La Abuela, by acclaimed Spanish horror director Paco Plaza, an elevation of her signature style punctuated by haunted vocals which was nominated for the Goya Award for Best Original Score. Her recent film work includes her first two American film scores for the lauded documentary Seeking Mavis Beacon, and the vanity feature thriller Skincare, starring Elizabeth Banks. In 2026, Fatima earned her second César nomination for her score for L’Étranger, François Ozon's acclaimed feature starring Benjamin Voisin, which premiered in competition at the Venice Film Festival.

​Fatima's discography includes three solo albums, five EPs, as well as composing music for fashion brands including TELFAR, Chanel, Bottega Veneta and Miu Miu.
