Stella Mozgawa
Stella Mozgawa is an Australian drummer, artist, writer, producer, and arranger based in Los Angeles. As a member of Warpaint, she has released four critically acclaimed albums that have collectively sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. Warpaint’s music has been featured in campaigns for Gucci, Chanel, Stella McCartney, Calvin Klein, Steve Madden, and more, as well as in television series including True Blood, American Horror Story, C.S.I., Gossip Girl, Revenge, Reign, Flaked, American Crime, and Suits.
Alongside her work with Warpaint, Mozgawa has collaborated on recordings with Kurt Vile, Cate Le Bon, Courtney Barnett, St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Floating Points, Tom Jones, Kim Gordon, and Regina Spektor. She co-produced Courtney Barnett’s third studio album, ‘Things Take Time, Take Time’ (2021), as well as her upcoming record ‘Creature Of Habit’ (2026).
Blending record production and composing, Stella worked as the original music producer for two seasons of the Apple TV+ series The Buccaneers, collaborating with an all-star lineup of artists including Sharon Van Etten, Gracie Abrams, Empress Of, Alison Mosshart, Lucius, Suki Waterhouse, Bully, Madi Diaz, and Warpaint. Her distinctive rhythmic and
textural sensibility helped shape the show’s modern, emotionally charged sonic identity.
She is also known for her original scores to the indie feature Clara’s Ghost (directed by Bridey Elliott, MGM) and the documentary Anonymous Club (directed by Danny Cohen). Mozgawa scored the Gimlet Media podcast ‘Motherhacker’ in 2020.
In addition to her film and television work, Mozgawa explores electronic music through her project Belief, a collaboration with producer Boom Bip.
Their self-titled debut album (2022) blends hypnotic rhythms, acid basslines, and textured synths, reflecting their shared love of ’90s techno. Belief has been praised for its immersive, genre-bending sound and dancefloor energy, showcasing Mozgawa’s versatility as a composer and producer.
