Will Gregory
Will Gregory is a renowned artist, producer, and Ivor Novello award-winning composer, best known as one half of the multi-platinum electronic duo Goldfrapp. A leading advocate for synthesisers and electronic instruments in the UK, Will specialises in blending orchestral and electronic sounds. Alongside Goldfrapp, he leads the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble, a 10-piece band performing original compositions and inventive reinterpretations of popular music. In 2024, they released their debut album Heat Ray: The Archimedes Project via Mute Records, which was nominated for Best Large Ensemble Composition at the Ivors Classical Awards 2025. The ensemble has headlined major festivals including Ruhrtriennale and Electronauts, and sold out London’s Barbican in collaboration with the Britten Sinfonia.
As a composer for screen, Will’s recent projects include the 2025 series Dexter Procter: The 10-Year-Old Doctor, both series of the hit comedy Extraordinary, and the thriller series Chloe (Amazon Studios). He maintains a long-standing creative partnership with Emmy-nominated filmmaker John Downer, scoring nature documentaries including Spy in the Wild and Spy in the Ocean, alongside his work on the Discovery series Serengeti. Previously, he scored the BAFTA-winning feature films Nowhere Boy and My Summer of Love
In theatre, Will frequently writes for the stage. Recent work includes the Royal Shakespeare Company’s productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream (2024) and King John (2019), as well as Carrie Cracknell's acclaimed production of Medea for the National Theatre. Outside of his core projects, Will has performed with artists including Tears for Fears, Peter Gabriel, The Cure, Portishead, Tori Amos, and Michael Nyman. His first opera, Picard in Space, premiered at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in 2011, and he has continuously produced commissioned works for orchestras including the BBC Concert Orchestra.
